One Lazy Pacific Crest Trail Day

The wind was blowing and the air was cold. A layer of ice was on top of the tent under the rain fly. Actually getting out of the sleeping bag was a bit difficult today…

Five miles in we stopped for an early lunch and laid out our tent and sleeping bags to dry. This break was over and hour and it was after 12pm before we resumed hiking. It was going to be a leisurely day!

20140517-194007.jpgWe arrived at Deep Creek and were done for the day. Somehow we had hiked 14 miles yet we stopped three times for long breaks. We were both shocked at the miles considering our slow lazy day.

20140517-194118.jpgLooking around we picked up some trash which included a full fuel canister and set up camp for the night. The sound of water near our tent once again…
