Falling Out of Heaven

June 2, 2014 by Alan Underkofler

Mile 454 – 17 Pacific Crest Trail miles, 1.5 wandering miles

It was really hard to leave Hiker Heaven! They have a two night maximum stay and I can see why. It’s an incredible vortex!

We had high hopes to have breakfast at Mon Ami an incredible fresh bakery that is out of this world! A true gem in Aqua Dulce! Our souls were crushed when we saw the closed note on the door. Instead we had breakfast that could not possible fulfill our expectations.

We hiked to Oasis Cache, a water cache with shade and chairs maintained by the Anderson’s. It was a unique water cache to say the least and we had smiling faces as we filled our water.

The day ended cowboy camping under scrub oak trees listening to birds singing until drifting asleep.20140602-161407-58447215.jpg
