I Am One Happy Nomad!

March 28, 2014 by Alan Underkofler

If you read my post from yesterday I Have Been Robbed! you would know about the loss of my Pacific Crest Trail hiking permit and Canada Entry permit.  I am happy to report both should be in the mail to me today!

I spoke with Jack briefly at the Pacific Crest Trail Association office yesterday and was informed that reissuing my hiking permit would not be a problem.  I received an email from Marnie this morning confirming that a new permit was on the way.  Thank you so much PCTA for everything you do and getting the new permits out before I leave in a few weeks.

I just spoke to the Canada PCT Coordinator and he was extremely helpful and nice.  He asked a few questions and then let me know he would mail me a copy of the Canada Entry permit today.

So permits are all set… Next up is to get a new passport!  Wish me luck!
